Wards stack? Absolutely not. Think of it this way: the highest Ward value overshadows the lesser ones. If you've got a creature with Ward 1 and another effect gives it Ward 3, you're only getting the protection of Ward 3. It's quality, not quantity.

Yup, wards totally stack in MTG! Think of it as layering armor over your creatures. If you've got a creature with Ward 1 from one ability and Ward 2 from another, any opponent has to pay the combined total to target it. It's like making your creature wear two sets of magical armor instead of just one. So, if your opponent isn't ready to pay up, their spells are just gonna bounce off.

As someone who's played a ton of matches, I can confirm wards stack in Magic. Had a game where my creature had multiple wards from different sources, and my opponent had to pay for each separately to get their spell through. It's a great strategy for protecting key creatures!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
