Nope, you don't control emblems in Magic The Gathering. Emblems are not permanents and they can't be interacted with by using spells or abilities that target other game objects like creatures or enchantments. They just sit in the command zone providing whatever effect they were created with, and there's pretty much nothing your opponent can do to get rid of them once they're in play.

Short answer: no. Once an emblem is created, it stays with the player who created it until the end of the game and can't be controlled or removed by any means. So, if you're on the receiving end of one, you'll just have to deal with its effects the old-fashioned way: strategize around it.

Gotta disagree with everyone saying it's all doom and gloom once an emblem hits the table. Sure, you can't 'control' them in the traditional sense, but don't forget the power of strategy and playing smart. Sometimes the best control is winning before your opponent can even get their emblem out. Think of it as a challenge to up your game!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
