Actually, buying a Steam Deck won't get you Steam points. It's a bummer, I know! But you can still rack up points in other ways, like snagging games and DLC on the Steam store.

Nope, you don't get Steam points for buying a Steam Deck. Steam points are usually earned from buying games and participating in certain Steam activities. The Deck itself, cool as it is, doesn't add to your points pile.
