Yep, you need PlayStation Plus for most online multiplayer games on PS4 and PS5. There are some exceptions, like free-to-play games (think Fortnite), but for most big titles, it's a must.

For the majority of games, yes, you need PlayStation Plus to play multiplayer online. If you're into games like Fortnite or Apex Legends, though, those don’t require it!

Yes, you need to get PS Plus for online multiplayer on PS4 and PS5. I learned the hard way when I tried to play CoD with my buddies and couldn't join the lobby!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
