Actually, finishing the story mode is a solid way to learn the mechanics and get a feel for the game, but it's not a must for playing online. I skipped straight to GTA Online and had a blast figuring things out on the fly!

Nope, you don't have to complete the single-player campaign of GTA 5 to jump into GTA Online. You can dive into the crazy online world right after you've done the prologue in Story Mode. So, pretty much right after you start the game, you're good to go online and cause mayhem with friends or strangers!

Short answer: No. You just need to get past the initial prologue in the story mode, then online chaos awaits!

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
