From personal experience, as soon as my subscription ended, the games just grayed out. Couldn't play 'em until I renewed or bought them.
Nope, once your Xbox Game Pass subscription ends, you lose access to the games you downloaded through it. But hey, your save data stays intact if you decide to purchase them later!
You can't play the games after the subscription ends. Simple as that. Just buy the games individually if you want them forever.
