You don't need PlayStation Plus to play Borderlands 2 single-player or local co-op, but you'll definitely need it for online multiplayer.

You can play solo or local co-op without PS Plus, but if you want to join the chaos online, you need a subscription.

Single-player and couch co-op are fine without PS Plus, but for online mayhem, you gotta have it!

Nope, no PS Plus required for single-player or local co-op. However, for online multiplayer, you need PS Plus.
