Yes, you need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account to play Call of Duty: WW2 online. The same goes for almost all online multiplayer games on PlayStation.

I’ve played the single-player campaign of COD WW2 without PSN just fine. But for online action, you gotta have that PSN account.
