Nope, you don't absolutely NEED Switch Online to enjoy Animal Crossing. You can totally play the game, explore your island, and meet all the quirky animal residents solo without the online service. But, if you wanna visit friends' islands or have them come to yours, then yeah, you'll need a Switch Online subscription. It's all about how social you wanna be in your virtual island life!

Honestly, not having Switch Online doesn't ruin the Animal Crossing experience at all. Been playing solo for months and I still find new stuff to do. Visiting friends is cool, but there's plenty to keep you busy on your own island.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
