Absolutely not. Xbox Live is only required if you wanna dive into the chaos of GTA Online. For roaming the streets of Los Santos solo in the offline mode, you're all set without it.

Hot take - who even plays GTA 5 offline anymore? But yeah, you don't need Xbox Live for that.

Nope, you don't need Xbox Live to play GTA 5 offline. You can enjoy the single-player campaign without an internet connection or an Xbox Live subscription. Just pop in the game and you're good to go!

No Xbox Live? No problem for playing GTA 5 offline. Story mode doesn't need it. But remember, if you're looking to jump online, then Xbox Live Gold is a must-have.

If you're a Grand Theft Auto player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
