Yep, if you want to play multiplayer on MW2, you'll need Xbox Live Gold. No Gold, no fragging your friends online!

Actually, you can enjoy the single-player campaign of MW2 without Xbox Live, but for anything online (like multiplayer), Xbox Live Gold is a must.

You don鈥檛 need Xbox Live if you're just playing offline or the single-player campaign. Multiplayer, though? Xbox Live Gold, my friend.

Hot take: Xbox Live isn't even worth it just for MW2. Just play the campaign.

Get Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. It includes Xbox Live Gold and you'll be covered for MW2 multiplayer and loads of other games too!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
