Does a card that says 'you target' in Magic The Gathering apply to the player or the card?
BringingLimp路7 months agoIn MTG, when a card says 'you target,' it's usually referring to you, the player, making the choice. You get to pick which card, creature, or player is going to be affected by the spell or ability. It's all about giving you the power to choose your strategy!

It definitely means the player has to choose the target. Makes the game more strategic cause you gotta decide what's the best move.
Cards are just cards, they don't make choices. So, 'you target' absolutely means you, the player, are picking targets. Remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Choose wisely!
