Does Affinity Reduce Extra Costs in MTG?

Absolutely, affinity for artifacts does indeed reduce extra costs. Think of it like a discount coupon that applies to the base cost of casting your artifact spells. For example, if you've got a spell that has an additional cost (say, sacrificing a creature), affinity reduces what you pay in mana, but you still gotta do whatever that extra thing is. So, if you're playing an artifact-heavy deck, those affinity cards can really help stretch your mana.

Nah, affinity only reduces the mana cost. Think of the extra costs as being on a totally separate bill. You pay less mana, sure, but any additional costs? You're footing the full price on that one.

Big fan of artifact decks here, and let me tell ya, affinity is a lifesaver. It's like having a mana sale every day. But yeah, it doesn't touch those extra costs. Learned that the hard way in a game once!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
