Nope! Animal Crossing doesn't need an internet connection for you to get lost in its world. Most of the gameplay is offline, where you can decorate your island, chat with animal friends, and more all by yourself. However, if you wanna visit friends' islands or download the seasonal updates, you'll need to hop online.

I play Animal Crossing: New Horizons all the time and rarely use the internet. It's all about that chill island life offline. But yeah, visiting friends or getting those cool holiday items means you gotta connect to the internet.

Only if you want to play with friends online or grab the latest updates. Otherwise, solo play is completely offline!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
