Absolutely, shield damage counts in Apex Legends. I had a match where most of my damage was against shields because everyone was stacked with purple and gold. Still topped the damage charts with mainly shield hits. So, yeah, blast away at those shields; it all adds up!

Yep, Apex Legends definitely counts shield damage towards your overall damage stats in a match. So, when you're unloading on an enemy's shield, all that effort (and ammo) isn't for nothing. It's all about chipping away at that armor before you can really start hurting them where it counts. Plus, it's super satisfying to see those numbers go up!
