Definitely no traditional ELO system in Apex. But, speaking from personal experience, the matchmaking feels like it tries to balance things out. Some days it feels spot on; other days, it's like the Wild West out there with the skill levels I encounter.

Short answer: No ELO, but yes to a mysterious matchmaking system that keeps us guessing and grinding!

Nah, Apex Legends doesn't use an ELO rating system like you might find in chess or other competitive games. It's got something else going on called a matchmaking rating (MMR) system that's pretty hush-hush. The devs haven't spilled all the beans on how it works, but it basically matches you with players of similar skill levels.

If you're a Apex Legends player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
