Does Armor Work Under Power Armor in Fallout 4 and Fallout 76?
Nope, in both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, any regular armor you're wearing gets unequipped when you hop into a power armor suit. So, all those cool leather jackets and metal pieces you've collected? They won't have any effect while you're stomping around in power armor. It's all about the power armor's stats and mods when you're suited up.

In Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, your regular armor magically disappears the moment you step into a power armor frame. Think of power armor as the boss suit - it overrides everything else.
Actually, wearing armor under power armor does nothing. Tested it myself in both games. Your stats and protection come solely from the power armor.
