She doesn't die. She has some dramatic moments, but she's alive and kicking by the end of the series.
Nope, Asuna survives! She is Kirito's rock throughout the series and even beyond the first season.
Actually, she does appear to die at one point in the first arc, but (spoiler alert) she comes back!
