Does Banishment Enchantment Work on Commanders in MTG?
MisleadingBride路7 months agoShort answer: Yes, but it's not as permanent as exiling regular creatures. Commanders have a get-out-of-jail-free card because of the command zone rule.

Nah, using banishment enchantments on commanders isn't really worth it. They just end up back in the command zone and can be played again. Better save those spells for more permanent problems.
Yep, banishment enchantments totally work on commanders in Magic The Gathering. When you play a banishment card, the commander it targets gets exiled. But, because commanders are special, their owner can choose to put them back into the command zone instead of leaving them exiled. So, it's a temporary fix but can still mess up your opponent's plans big time!
