Yep, banishment totally works on commanders in Magic The Gathering. When you play a card that banishes, you can target the commander and it'll be exiled. But remember, the commander's owner can choose to put it back into the command zone instead of letting it stay exiled. So while banishment spells do work, the commander won't be gone for good!

Banishing commanders? Absolutely works, but it鈥檚 like sending them on a very brief vacation. They can come back from exile by going to the command zone instead. So, it's effective but temporary.

Short answer: yeah it does. But the commander can just bounce back to the command zone, so it's kinda like trying to pin down a really slippery fish.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
