Nope, blocking doesn't cause a creature to tap in Magic The Gathering. You can block with a creature whether it's tapped or not. The only thing that matters is that the creature is untapped and ready to block when the declare blockers step comes around. So, keep your blockers free, and let them stand tall - they won't tap just because they're throwing themselves heroically in front of your opponent's creatures!

Actually, no. When you block with a creature in Magic The Gathering, it doesn't tap. Tapped creatures can't block, though, so make sure your defenders are ready and waiting!

Blocking in MTG doesn't tap your creature. It's a common misconception, but remember, only attacking or activating certain abilities causes a creature to tap.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
