Absolutely! In Magic The Gathering, 'bouncing' a creature back to its owner's hand removes it from the battlefield. So, if you bounce a creature before the fight effect resolves, there's no fight because one of the fighters has left the arena. It's the MTG equivalent of ghosting your way out of a duel!

Short answer: Yes. No creature on the battlefield, no fight. Bounce it to hand, and it's like the fight was never going to happen.

Honestly, bouncing as a strategy to avoid fighting is underrated. Did it in a game last week; my opponent was not pleased, but those are the rules. If the creature isn't there, the fight spell or ability fizzles out.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
