Does City of Shadows still kill your creature in MTG?

Actually, 'kill' is the wrong term. City of Shadows exiles creatures you control, not kill them. Big difference in MTG terms since killing usually means sending to the graveyard.

Nope, City of Shadows doesn't 'kill' your creature. It exiles them! You tap and exile a creature you control to put a storage counter on City of Shadows. It's more of a magical disappearing act than a deadly one. Plus, you get to use those storage counters to generate colorless mana. Neat, right?

Dead wrong. City of Shadows exiles, doesn't kill. It's all about that exile zone, not the graveyard. Get your MTG terms straight!

Well, technically, it sends them to the shadow realm... JK! It exiles them, which is a totally different ball game than dying. Your creature ends up in exile, so it's out of play but not dead.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
