Yep, color protection in Magic The Gathering absolutely works against multicolor cards. So, if your creature has protection from blue, it's untouchable by anything blue, including spells that are blue and another color. It's like that creature sees multicolor spells coming from a mile away and says, 'Nope, not today!' Super handy for dodging those pesky multicolor threats.

Protection from a specific color in MTG does block effects from multicolor cards if they include that color. However, it's worth noting that protection only stops stuff like damage, enchanting/equipping, blocking, and targeting. So, if a multicolor card doesn't try to do one of those things, it can still affect your protected creature or player.

Actually, relying too much on protection can be a bit risky. Sure, it's great against multicolor cards containing the protected color, but MTG is all about strategy and adaptation. A well-rounded deck will always outperform one that leans too heavily on one mechanic.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
