Does copying something keep the counters in MTG?
ImplementingPons路7 months agoNope, copying a card in MTG doesn't copy the counters. Think of it as cloning the base version of whatever you're copying, not its buffed state. So, if you copy a creature that's been pumped up with +1/+1 counters, your copy will just be the original creature without those extra boosts.

Actually, when you copy a creature or any other permanent in Magic The Gathering, you're only getting the original 'print' of the card. Counters, enchantments, and equipment don't carry over to the copy. It's like photocopying a paper; you get the text but not the sticky notes.
No, it doesn't. Counters are not part of the deal when you copy something.
