Technically, damage can cause loss of life if it's dealt to a player, but not all loss of life comes from damage. There're spells that just straight up reduce your life total without 'damaging' you. So they're related, but definitely not the same thing.

Actually, it's a common misconception. While damage dealt to a player often results in loss of life, effects that directly reduce life totals aren't considered damage. Magic is full of nuances like this!

Nope, damage and loss of life are two different things in Magic The Gathering. Damage can lead to loss of life if it's dealt to a player, but there are cards that cause loss of life without dealing damage. So, not all loss of life is from damage!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
