Does Deathtouch Beat First Strike in MTG?
Typically, First Strike and Deathtouch interact in a way where if a creature with First Strike attacks or blocks a creature with Deathtouch, the First Strike ability will usually let it deal its damage first. If it has enough power to kill the Deathtouch creature, the Deathtouch creature won't get a chance to deal its damage back, essentially allowing First Strike to 'beat' Deathtouch in combat. However, if the First Strike creature doesn't have enough power to kill the Deathtouch creature in the first combat damage step, then the Deathtouch creature will still deal its lethal damage. So it's all about who can deal lethal damage first!

Just remember, a 1/1 with Deathtouch can still take down a 10/10 without First Strike. All about the mechanics!
Nah, it's all about timing! First Strike lets you hit first, so if your creature is strong enough, bye-bye Deathtouch creature before it can even scratch you. But if your First Strike creature is like a little kitten against a tank, it won't matter. Deathtouch will get its revenge when it's its turn to hit.
