Nah, Empath doesn't stack in Fallout 76. If you and your buddy both got the Empath mutation, only one reduces damage taken. It's like having one umbrella in a rainstorm; doesn't matter if you're holding two, you're only gonna stay so dry.

Empath totally stacks... said no one who's actually tried it. Trust me, been there, done that, got the t-shirt. You both get the mutation, but you don't become invincible. Just one of you takes less damage, not both.
