Does equipping go on the stack in MTG?
DebiasingPons路7 months agoYep, equipping definitely goes on the stack in Magic The Gathering. It's an ability you activate by paying the equip cost, and like all activated abilities (unless they say otherwise), it uses the stack. This means your opponents have a chance to respond to it before the equipment actually attaches to the creature. So, if someone's trying to zap your creature in response, you've got a brief moment to weep softly before your plans go poof.

Actually, equipping goes on the stack. Why? Because it's an activated ability. Think of it like putting your creature in a fancy new suit of armor, but your opponent has a few seconds to object to the fashion choice before it's final.
Equipping? Stack? Yes, and it's a golden opportunity for strategy! Played right, equipping can turn the tides of a game. But remember, wise opponent can disrupt your equip plans, so always have a Plan B.
No stack action with equipping sounds kinda fun, but alas, MTG rules say equipping goes on the stack. Gives a chance to counter and adds a spicy layer of strategy!
