Nope, equipping doesn't trigger Battlewise Hoplite. Battlewise Hoplite triggers when you cast a spell that targets it, and equipping is an ability, not a spell. So, slap all the gear you want on it; it's gonna stay chill.

Actually, equipping your Hoplite won't give it that trigger you're looking for. You gotta cast a spell directly on it for the magic to happen.

Nah, equipment doesn't count. If you're looking to beef up your Battlewise Hoplite, you're better off casting enchantments or instants directly on it.
