Nope, the Fierce Deity Sword doesn't break in Tears of the Kingdom. The game has a more durable approach to weapons compared to Breath of the Wild. So, you can swing it around without worrying about it snapping in half mid-fight.

Actually, it doesn't break. In Tears of the Kingdom, they've gone ahead and made most iconic weapons unbreakable, including the Fierce Deity Sword. Big win for us who hate scavenging!

Unbreakable. Unlike my patience for those who thought it would. Seriously, the game's approach to weapons is way better this time around.

Just to add, not only does the Fierce Deity Sword not break, but it's also insanely cool. The design and the powers it gives Link? Chef's kiss. Makes you feel unstoppable.

If you're a Legend of Zelda player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
