Nope, don't bother. Just use direct damage spells if you wanna max out those insect tokens. Why complicate things?

Absolutely, 'Fight' does work with Hornet's Nest in MTG. When Hornet's Nest 'fights' another creature, it deals damage equal to its power to that creature and takes damage in return. Since Hornet's Nest has an ability that triggers when it takes damage, creating that many 1/1 green Insect creature tokens with flying and deathtouch, you'll get a bunch of tokens if it survives the fight!
