Yup! If you wanna play Fortnite on PS4 or PS5, you need a PlayStation Network (PSN) account. If you're going for online multiplayer, you'll need PS Plus too.

Nope, you don't need PS Plus to play Fortnite's Battle Royale mode on PlayStation. Just a regular PSN account will do.

From my experience, you only need PSN for the game update downloads and stuff. But no PS Plus needed for Battle Royale!
