Nope, 'get around' doesn't always mean you can bypass protection. Protection in MTG is pretty solid. It specifically prevents targeting, dealing damage, enchanting/buffing, and blocking by sources it has protection from. Unless an ability specifically says it ignores protection, assume it doesn't.

Yep, 'get around' can definitely work against protection in Magic The Gathering! It all depends on what exactly you're doing. For example, protection stops a creature from being targeted, dealt damage, enchanted, or blocked by anything it has protection from. But if you're using a global effect that doesn't target, like 'all creatures get -1/-1 until end of turn,' then protection won't save them. It's all about the fine print on the cards!

Short answer: Sometimes. It really depends on how you're trying to 'get around' the protection. AoE (Area of Effect) and non-targeted spells and abilities can still affect protected creatures. Always read your cards closely!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
