Does going through regenerate in MTG?
DislikingTramp路7 months agoRegenerate means the creature dodges death once, not that it's invincible. It's like a safety net, not a bulletproof vest. Important distinction.

Absolutely, 'regenerate' in Magic The Gathering is like hitting the undo button on your creature's demise. If your creature's about to be destroyed, slap down a regeneration shield with a card ability before the damage hits. It taps the creature, removes it from combat, but, voila, it sticks around for another round!
I've seen folks misunderstand this all the time. Regenerate doesn't prevent the damage; it just prevents the creature from being destroyed. So if something says 'can't be regenerated,' that creature's headed straight to the graveyard, no questions asked.
