Does God's Wrath Destroy Gods in MTG?
BivouacingFirm路7 months agoYes, God's Wrath, or more accurately, cards like 'Wrath of God' do indeed destroy gods in MTG, assuming those gods are creatures on the battlefield at the time. In Magic The Gathering, gods often require devotion to a certain color to be considered creatures. If they meet this requirement, they're susceptible to being destroyed by board wipes like 'Wrath of God.'

Nope, gods laugh at 'Wrath of God' if they aren't creatures. Keep that devotion low!
Defs! If your MTG gods have turned into creatures because you're all in on that color devotion, then something like 'Wrath of God' will send them packing. I learned this the hard way in a game where I thought my gods were indestructible. Imagine my face when my opponent cleared the board. #LessonLearned
Actually, it depends on the state of the gods. If they have enough devotion and are creatures, then yep, 'bye-bye gods with something like Wrath of God. But if they're just enchantments because you're slacking on devotion, they'll stick around laughing at your board wipes.
