Hard Mode doesn't interrupt the Genocide Route, but it cuts off pretty early. You can't go beyond the Ruins in Hard Mode anyway, so you're safe!

In my experience, Hard Mode just adds a twist to the Ruins. It doesn't affect the Genocide Route at all.

Nope, Hard Mode only affects the Ruins, so your Genocide run stays intact past that point.
