Does Haunt follow a card when you copy it in MTG?
MuggingCreek路7 months agoNope, copies don't carry over the haunt ability. Think of it like a ghost that can't leave its haunted house; the original haunt is stuck with the original card!

In MTG, when you copy a card with the Haunt ability, the copy won't actually get the haunt ability. This is because the ability specifically refers to the card leaving play and haunting another creature, and copies, especially those made on the stack or in play, typically cease to exist after the game moves to the next phase or step. So, in short, no haunting from copies!
As someone who's been playing MTG for a decade, haunt abilities are tricky and don't transfer to copies. Learned that the hard way in a tournament!
