Yes, but it's like using a flip phone in a smartphone era. You can only store old-gen games and media; new-gen games need the internal SSD or official expansion card.

HDD with Series S? Sure, but for storage only!

Yep, an external HDD works with the Xbox Series S! You can store and play Xbox One games off it, but Series S/X games will need transferring to the internal storage or the official expansion card for play.

I've tried it! External HDDs are great for extra storage, especially for those Xbox One and 360 games. Just remember you'll need the internal SSD for the cool new Series S/X titles.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
