While Hunter x Hunter primarily uses traditional 2D animation, it does have some instances of CGI, especially in later episodes for certain effects. It's usually pretty seamless!

Yep, there are some CGI elements, mainly for backgrounds and certain effects, but it's mostly classic 2D goodness.

As a long-time fan of both versions, I can confirm that most of Hunter x Hunter sticks to 2D animation. CGI is used sparingly.
