Does Ice Cave work with Dream Halls in MTG?

Absolutely, Ice Cave and Dream Halls can work together in MTG! Dream Halls allows you to cast spells by discarding a card that shares a color with the spell instead of paying its mana cost. Meanwhile, Ice Cave lets you counter a spell unless its caster pays 1 mana of a color that's not in the spell’s colors. So, you could theoretically play a spell using Dream Halls, and if your opponent tries to use Ice Cave to counter it, they'd have to pay 1 mana of a color not used in the casting. Tricky and potentially a fun combo to mess with!

No, it's a bad idea. Ice Cave and Dream Halls might look good on paper, but in practice, it's incredibly mana-intensive and clunky. You're better off focusing on one strategy.

Just tried this combo in my latest game night, and it was hilarious! My opponents were so confused, and it created a lot of fun interactions. Dream Halls let me cast stuff for free, and Ice Cave was there to mess with everyone else's plans. Fun times!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
