As someone who takes screenshots all the time, I can confirm Instagram doesn't notify others when you screenshot posts, Stories, or Reels. DM screenshots are the exception.
Actually, Instagram does send a notification if you screenshot a disappearing photo or video in a direct message. Other than that, you're in the clear.
