Yep, J.K. Rowling does profit from Hogwarts Legacy. Since she created the Harry Potter universe, anything that's officially licensed, like Hogwarts Legacy, means she gets a slice of the pie. Whether it's direct or through royalties because she owns the property, she's definitely getting a piece of that magical Galleon stack.

Not directly from the game sales, guys. Rowling gets her cut because she owns the rights to the Harry Potter universe. So, while she might not be seeing profits from each game sold, she's still earning from the overall success of the franchise.

Nope, she doesn't see a dime. Hogwarts Legacy is all about the developers and the gaming company. JK's just enjoying the ride from the sidelines.

Honestly, she's making bank either way. Considering how many copies Hogwarts Legacy has sold worldwide, and the fact that it's set in the world she created, J.K. Rowling's coffers are getting filled, even if it's just through licensing agreements or royalties.

If you're a Hogwarts Legacy player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

That includes gift cards from all of your favorite gaming platforms, like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Steam and more... which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
