Nope, lands don't come out tapped by default in Magic The Gathering. You can play most lands and have them ready to rock (or tap for mana) right away unless the card specifically says it enters the battlefield tapped. So, if your land card doesn't have any special text like 'Enter the battlefield tapped,' you're good to go!

Hot take: some folks think lands entering tapped slows the game down, but it's actually a key part of balancing strategies! Always check your cards.

From personal experience, I once built a deck without realizing half my lands came out tapped. It was slower at first, but it taught me to read cards carefully. Most lands? Good to go. Special ones? Check the fine print!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
