Actually, damage does lead to loss of life, but not all loss of life comes from damage. It's like all squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. So if your opponent uses a spell to make you lose life directly, it's not damage and won't trigger effects that activate on damage.

Nope, loss of life and damage are two different things in MTG. Damage can cause loss of life, but not all loss of life is due to damage. For example, a card that says "each opponent loses 3 life" doesn't deal damage, it just makes the life totals go down. So, your creatures with lifelink won't give you life for that, and damage prevention doesn't stop it.

Straight talk? Loss of life isn't damage. They're like cousins in the MTG world - related but definitely not the same thing.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
