Nope, Microsoft doesn't own Spyro. Spyro was originally developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony on the PlayStation. Nowadays, it's pretty much under the umbrella of Activision (which is *kinda* part of Microsoft now due to recent acquisitions).
I played Spyro since it came out in the '90s and it's always been tied to Activision, not Microsoft specifically!
