Does moving counters count as placing them in MTG?
AttainingFord路7 months agoNope, moving counters is not the same as placing them. Moving is just rearranging what's already there, not adding anything new.

Absolutely not! In Magic The Gathering, moving counters from one thing to another is different from placing new counters. Think of moving counters as relocating your existing troops, whereas placing new counters is like bringing fresh troops onto the battlefield. They're similar actions but with different rules and effects in the game.
Gotta say no. As someone who's spent more time shuffling counters around than I care to admit, moving them definitely doesn't count as placing. It's all about the context; moving counters usually involves mechanics or abilities specifically allowing for the transfer, whereas placing counters is about generating new ones.
