Funny enough, Magic The Gathering cards themselves don't repel flies in the literal sense. However, spending your time building decks and strategizing might just keep you busy enough indoors to forget about the flies buzzing around outside. So, in a roundabout way, maybe it does!

Nope, MTG doesn't repel flies. Unless you've got a card that specifically says it repels flies (spoiler: you don't), those pesky bugs won't care about your rarest planeswalker or that shiny new artifact.

Actually, during a long game night at my friend's house, we noticed fewer flies in the room where we were playing MTG. But, honestly, it was probably more about us being indoors and having the doors closed than any magical fly-repelling properties of the cards.

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
