Short answer is yes. -1/-1 counters reduce a creature's toughness. Hit 0 and it's goodbye creature.

Gonna have to disagree with the naysayers. Negative counters are more than just a nuisance; they're a legit game tactic. I've seen many a mighty creature fall to a well-placed -1/-1. So, absolutely, negative counters can send creatures packing to the graveyard.

Yep, negative counters can definitely take down creatures in Magic The Gathering. If a creature's toughness drops to 0 or less because of those pesky negative counters, it's straight to the graveyard for them. So if you're plotting some devious strategies, including negative counters might be a slick move!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
