Why doesn't my creature heal during the healing step in MTG?

In Magic The Gathering, creatures don't really 'heal' during the end step or any specific 'healing step' because that's not how the game mechanics work. Damage marked on a creature is removed during the cleanup step, which is the last part of the turn. This isn't the same as healing, though. It's more like resetting the damage count to zero for the next turn!

No healing step in the game, period. Creatures either make it through or they don鈥檛.

Because there's no such thing as a healing step in MTG, buddy. Damage gets wiped clean off creatures at the end of each turn, during the cleanup step. So, if your creature survives the turn, it鈥檚 as good as new once that step hits!

If you're an MTG player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is a pack of MTG cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
